Makes ya’ think

Papi (M. Baudet senior, now in his 80s) told me recently that 50 years ago he sold his Blaye wines to the négociants of Bordeaux for the same price that they bought Saint Emilion.

saint-emilion-timbre   =  BLAYE  ??

Perceived values have certainly changed, and the ability to charge more money for your wine gives you more money to re-invest in quality which then becomes a virtuous circle. I guess the moral is: look after your brand, and it will look after you.
